PROFILE

I am a photographer based in Boston and I approach photography both as an art and a craft. In my work, I strive to employ its power to engage, to excite and to communicate. I subscribe to the philosophy that working in various disciplines within photography benefits the person as a whole and strengthens one's ability to become a better communicator through the images he/she creates.

I've enjoyed expressing myself through the medium of photography ever since I got my first camera more than twenty years ago. I hold a Masters degree in Journalism with special concentration in photojournalism. I like working with people just as much as I enjoy producing an abstract image of an inanimate object.

Though I tend to gravitate toward subjects (or, as in the case of architecture, objects) for which I have a natural affinity, I've also learned that the key to good photography is the skill and the ability to capture the viewer's imagination. And that, to me, is the ultimate challenge both as a professional and as an artist.
